Overall reliability

One of the best cars I've owned up to now.

I part exchanged my 17 plate Kadjar for the Austral, I was expected a sort of improved version of the Kadjar, how wrong could I have been! The Austral is like something from the future with it's equipment, it even as a handy head up display. The economy is outstanding, in town I'm getting up to 63.3 mpg and on a motorway journey 55.7 mpg. The car is very comfortable and ultra quiet, all you hear is a bit of tyre noise from the wide 20inch wheels. it handles extremely well for quite a large car. The only niggles I have is if you need a sudden burst of power the time lag is about half a second before it responds, when it does the 200bhp certainly gets you going. The other thing is the 12volt battery is in the floor well so you can't carry a "skinny" spare wheel and have to make do with the tyre ruining inflation kit. Providing the car is reliable and I don't have any reason to doubt that I think I will be very pleased with my choice.
